Star time

Star time has been created as a support tool for children with additional needs such as speech & language. We have also discovered it is a great help to children with EAL (English as an additional language).

Every day a small group of children are taken in to the lobby to play with some special toys kept especially for Star time.

The idea is to encourage speech, turn taking and patience. We have found it to be a great way to build children's confidence and the children are so excited when they hear the bell for Star time!
